A while ago, I learnt that a friend of mine is playing in a semi-professional American Football team.

If you just read this sentence anywhere in North America, you might be wondering what is so special about the statement. In Europe, American Footbal sounds as exotic as watching a game of quidditch live in your city.

(though, yes, I’ve done that too: https://www.facebook.com/PolskaLigaQuidditcha/)

The first trip to the stadium was a storm of conflicting emotions, I enjoyed the experience, the crowd and the gorgeous weather. Yet, I was struggling to understand what was going on. The pacing was off for somebody used to watching football (or soccer as you may know it). The fouls didn’t look like fouls. The points scoring was different. The game took forever!

What is Neurofitness?

If you ever had a similar experience, congratulations, this was your crash course in Neurofitness. Leveling Up your brain comes down to one simple question:

If your answer is “today“, you are doing a great job of keeping your brain fit. It doesn’t have to be anything super complicated, a simple change of your daily routines is enough.

If your answer is “last month“, you still have some time to Level Up today and do something for the first time.

If your answer is “2005“, it is time to look at the drawbacks of staying in the neurocomfort zone. Your brain loses the flexibility and is not able to adapt easily to new and stressful situations.

I will be feeding you some Neurofitness ideas in the following posts. And now go and do something for the first time!
